It aims to beat the current record holder, Great Eastern Life Insurance, which hold the current record of 5.68 kilometers.

The “Creating Of The Longest 50 Cent Coin Line 2010” will take place on October 9 at the Taylor’s Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH) from 8am, on grounds to raise money for charity purposes.

Sports And Recreation Center Manager Murali Paramasivam, said that he was hoping to raise RM124,000 from the event.

The first beneficiary of the fund raising event is Shepherd’s Home: Reach Community Centre, founded in 2002 to cater to the needs of single mothers who have problems financing their children’s education.

The collection will also go to Life Community Services: Rumah Juara, Puchong, which is an orphanage that houses 26 children aged between 4-18 years.

The proceeds will also go towards the BARIO 1 Taylor’s Community project. The project has been initiated to provide education to the rural poor, especially the indigenous community staying in the interiors of East Malaysia.

The aim of the project is to build a hostel at SK Bario, Kelabit Highland, Sarawak which would be able to accommodate 100 students under the age of 12.
The centre is looking for students who are keen to raise funds and do charity work.
