An exciting musical spectacle is on the cards as a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Taylor’s University and the Sarawak Tourism Board (STB).
Two world-class music festivals arising from this new partnership are to be previewed at Lakeside Campus.
The Division of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts played a vital role in the signing of the document.
The purpose of the memorandum is for the building of a smart partnership and tighter collaboration between the two organisations.
The two iconic previews, Borneo Jazz Festival (BJF) and Rainforest World Musical Festival (RWMF), will showcase world renowned talents who will also be participating in the actual festivals to be held in Miri and Kuching, Sarawak sometime during mid-year.
The Borneo Jazz Festival Preview at Lakeside will be held on May 10 and 11 while the Rainforest World Music Festival Preview will be held on July 1 and 2.
Both the previews will be organised by Taylor’s final year students of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
