Terrorizing their way to victory

Team Terrorists score their first goal against team Apple Cho in the final

Team Terrorists emerged victorious to clinch the Taylor’s Closed Futsal Cup after they beat Team Apple Cho 2-1, in the final match that saw three players being sent off.

The tournament held on April 9 saw fifteen teams partake in an intense competition full of crunching tackles and stunning goals.

Second placed Team Apple Cho put up a rallying display, scoring a penalty in the dying seconds to make it 1-2, ensuring a nervy end to the match.

Team Terrorist player Mohammed Yahya who scored the winning goal said, “I am really excited that we won. I just met my team today, I didn’t think we would go beyond the group stages and win the cup.”

Two players from both teams were sent off after a scuffle broke out in the second half. Another player from team Terrorists was sent off for a sliding tackle that gifted Apple Cho the penalty.

“I was just trying to get the ball, not the player,” said Yahya who gave away the penalty.

Team Terrorist fought hard to reach the final after coming from behind to win 4-3 on penalties in the semis against team Avengers.

Meanwhile Team Apple Cho breezed to the final after a comprehensive 2-0 victory against Team Fortress.

Team Fortress beat team Avengers 2-1 to land 3rd place in the tournament.
